Har Ki Dun, situated at an elevation of 12,000 ft is surrounded by glittering peaks and dense forests. The forests are rich in wild life and are a veritable paradise for bird-watchers and nature lovers.
It is situated in the Uttarkashi region of Uttarakhand, deep inside Govind Pashu National park. Har Ki Dun is a blend of entrancing perspectives on different tops around it like Swargarohini, Black Peak, and some more.
It also known as the “Valley Of Gods” is considered one of the most alluring valleys in the Western Himalayas. It would be a heavenly experience to trek along the ‘Valley of Gods’, and follow the track once beaten by Pandavas on their way to the heavens.
The spot gives a colossal feeling of delight which associates the individual to nature. There are different old towns which can some way or another tells about the prosperity of individuals living millennia prior.

Drive Distance: 190 kms || Time Taken: 8 hrs
Receive guests from Dehradun early in the morning and drive to Sankri. The drive is rather long but extremely scenic as you will see beautiful valleys and quaint villages throughout the route. You will pass through Mussoorie, Purola, Mora and Netwar, while following the Tons River as well. On arrival at Sankri, check-in at your accommodation and rest.
Today it will be our acclimatization day. We will take tour round the village.
Take a walk around the village – markets , schools , playground, gardens, talk with the locals. Experience the slow paced village life of Sankri. Locals are very friendly and would be more than happy to tell you about their world and with all the curiosity would like to know about your world.

Get ready to cross the stream and gushing waterfalls on your adventurous jeep ride. After a crazy ride on the topsy-turvy roads of the Garhwal Himalayas, you would be dropped near the Taluka Village.
From here your trek will start and today our destination will be Cheludgad.
You can stop at the river bank to witness the surreal meditative nature along with the sound of flowing river. After that you will enter a dense forest which has an amazing aroma, which city people can only dream of.
As you move on through the narrow and silent trails, you enter the ancient village of Gangar. Local villagers will greet you with a smile on their faces, which will set you in the mood for rest of the trek.

As soon as you satisfy your early morning hunger we will start our trek to Har Ki Dun.
The trail is all through the way is very pleasing with the beautiful meadows and hilly mountains. The trail is a bit steep along the way, and many green fields with some rare and unique flowers will be visible in front of you which will not make you feel so tired by its pleasing ambiance.
After reaching Seematra the trail will have some descends and a couple of interesting waterfalls. In winters, the main waterfall is generally frozen and is a spectacular sight.
After a tiring day we will reach the campsite of Har ki Dun.
Har Ki Dun is a hidden valley offers spectacular vistas of Swargarohini peak, Kala Nag peak, Bandarpoonch, and more. It is amongst the offbeat valleys in the Garhwal Himalayas.
We will also explore Manida Taal which is 7 Kms from Har Ki Dun Valley.
Trek Distance: 14 kms || Time Taken: 5-6 hrs
We will start our trek early in the morning. Today we will be descending down to Osla Village.
Osla has a few small wooden guest houses, where you can even cook your own food. The houses have Chulha, where they prepare food using old school methods. Spending the night in Osla will make you feel like you have time traveled to 100 years back. You can hear the stories from the elders and witness the enthusiasm of the village kids. It is certainly an experience of a different world.
In Osla village, there is an ancient wooden temple. Elders will tell you that it is Duryodhan temple but new generation people will tell you that it is Somnath temple. In old days, people used to worship Duryodhan. Inside the temple you will see a centuries old copper gate and several Dhols.

We spent a very relaxing night at the quiet village of Osla and today we shall hit the trail descending back to Taluka village. The journey is easy as we go downhill and experience the Himalayan beauty throughout the Har Ki Dun trek. After we reach Taluka we will take a cab and drive back to Sankri.
You can take the rest of the day off or can visit the village.

We will say our good byes and will drive back to Dehradun.
