This trek is known for its scenic beauty and perfect locations. It passes through some of the beautiful forests and affords excellent views of the snow peaks. The trek gives you the opportunity to visit the 1000-year-old Tungnath temple, which is the highest shrine of Lord Shiva. It is one of the Panch-Kedars and is believed to have been built by Arjun himself. The trail to Chopta has lush green meadows with panoramic view of Himalayan peaks. This trail further takes you to the Tungnath temple, which at an altitude of 12,007 ft.
Deoria Tal seems just like entering a scenic painting with animals & birds around a crystal clear lake in which you can see the reflection of the mighty Chaukhamba peak.
The Deoriatal-Chandrashila Trek is an easy trek which is most frequently chosen by the adventure enthusiasts. Chandrashila is famous for its breathtaking 360-degree view of the Himalayan ranges. Deorital and Chopta are the places which are blessed with some stunning beauty of nature. This is an exclusive chance for you to witness the peculiar culture of a village which wakes up every morning before the mighty Himalayas.

We heartily welcome you at Dehradun Railway Station / Dehradun Airport. Then after, drive for about 227 kms to reach Sari. Check-in hotel & rest for the day.
Trek Distance: 14 kms|| Trek Duration: 8-9 hrs
Today will be the biggest day for us. We will cover Tunganath temple and Chandrashila peak and back to Sari hence we need to start our day early. The trail alternates between birch trees and meadows to take us to Tunganath and then onward towards Chandrashila Top which presents the most glorious views of the highest peaks in the Garhwal Range.
At 12,007 ft we will be at Tungnath, one of the Panch Kedars, Tungnath is the highest Shiv Temple in the world. This gives you another reason why you should not miss this trek. Just trek for few more kms and we shall reach the highest destination of our trek, Chandrashila Peak
Though the trek from Tungnath to Chandrashilla is only 2 km but due to the steepness of the route, it takes a bit longer. The peak has amazing views of the Himalayan peaks like Meru, Sumeru, Ganesh Parwat, Chaukhamba, Bandarpunch, Nilkantha, Tirsuli, Nanda Devi, etc.
Chandrashila has also an association with both, the Ramayana and the Mahabharat. As per the legends, Lord Ram meditated at Chandrshila after defeating Ravana.
Trek Distance: 7 kms || Trek Duration: 3-5 hrs
Today we will start early in the morning so that we can spend most of the time in Deoriatal and can explore the place. Stop and feast your eyes on the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Resume our trek and tread the trail passing by a forest of maple and rhododendron.
A magnificent view of Chaukhamba peak is revealed as the background of Lake. With the whole time to us we can explore the hidden nooks and crevices of the forest that lie all around, an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers.
Then we start our trek back to Sari Village. Overnight stay in Sari Village.

We will say our Good byes and will drive back to Dehradun.
