Buran Ghati Trek is situated in Himachal Pradesh, it is one of the offbeat destination in the Himalayas, connects Pabbar Valley and Sangla Valley.
You’ll approach this mountain pass on a steeply inclined trail of moderately intense difficulty with one particular stretch requiring you to climb down an ice wall. The trail to Buran Ghati pass offers views of unparalleled beauty with carefully crafted scenery of thick forests, grazing fields, snow-capped peaks and small river brooks scattered all around you.
The mountain pass is located alongside the Rupin pass and offers spectacular views of the Dhauladhar and Kinner Kailash ranges. You will be awestruck by the Dhauladhar range, with remote peaks rising above one another to offer a glimpse of their views. From the pass, you can see a panoramic view of Kinner-Kailash peaks.
Buran Ghati is a great trek for those looking for an adventurous experience.
We heartily welcome you at New Delhi Railway Station / New Delhi Airport. Then after, drive for about 366 Km to reach Shimla. Check-in hotel & rest for the day.
Today we will start our day early in the morning for Janglik.
The scenic drive will take you through oak and pine forests on highways and dirt roads.
The trek starts with the Oaks and Pines in your trails.
You will find the forest trail to be easy and relaxing. It will be amazing to see the beauty of the forest and small streams that have cooling effects on your senses. It takes time to take in the beauty of mother nature. Take your time and enjoy your surroundings.
After trekking for around 5-6 hours we will reach a meadow named Dayara Thatch.
Start your day exploring the Dayara meadows. This trek promises you thick forest cover, fast gushing streams, meadows. The Gunas Pass, snow clad Dhaulandhar range, Silver Birch leads you to the first clear view of Litham.
Cross the Chandranahan stream to reach our Litham. Three sided view of Litham makes it all the more picturesque. Chandranahan Waterfalls on your left followed by Chandranahan Lake and the snow clad mountains
Today is our acclimatization day as we make our way to Chandranahan lake and back to the Litham.
The Chandranahan is a glacial lake that is perennially fed by snow flanks of mountains that surround it.
After sightseeing around lake area we will trek back to Litham
Dhunda is located at 13,425 feet. From here, Gunas pass sits on top of the snowy mountains. Dhunda provides you the best magnificent view all around. There are grey and white mountains. You will also have a heart-warming view of Buran Ghati. There you will see mountains completely covered with snow encircling you from all directions. The snow-capped mountains will surround you from all sides, so you will be camping in the middle of them.
This day’s trek is quite long so we will start early. The trek might take 10-11 hours. It will include both ascent and descent. Follow the ridge from the Dhunda campsite and climb over boulders to reach the base of this pass.
Buran Ghati is at 15,000 feet. It’s a thrilling climb. The top is narrow and has a narrow ledge Then you will have to pass Buran Ghati by lowering down from the other side but it is quite sharp. You need to be very careful while dropping down.
This is the last day of your trek and this day you will head towards Barua Village. Vegetation is the specialty of the Barua Village. From Munirang it’s a well marked shepherds trail but you need to carry water along as the way has less water sources. Descend among beautiful rock phase takes you to a wooden bridge over a high force flowing water source. Walk through and enjoy the carom seeds fields. Soon from an overhanging rock on the trail the trekkers see the breathtaking view of the entire Barua village sitting on the ridge below.
Our Trek ends at Barua Village and then we will drive to Shimla. Overnight stay at Shimla
Today, we will rest at Shimla. This day can be used as Buffer Day in between the trek days also. This depends on weather condition & health condition of the group.
If the day is at rest, clients can enjoy local sightseeing at extra cost. Kindly have a word with HM Officials for necessary support & arrangements.
