Some of our top treks are favourites because of the mountain views they offer. Think of Chaukhambha from Deoriatal Chandrashila or Bandarpoonch from Dayara Bugyal. It is difficult to find such magnified views of big mountains like these. However, Brahmatal is a trek that takes the cake. It has a view that beats all of these!
Here is why. Right on your second day, you climb out of beautiful rhododendron and oak forest to see a white wall of the Trishul massif. And these views only come closer as you traverse the ridge towards Jhandi Top. At Jhandi top, you are almost at the centre of the mountain views. To your right rises the massive Mt Trishul and to your left stands Mt Nanda Ghunti. You even see the Ronti Saddle, the ridge that connects Mt Trishul and Mt Nanda Ghunti.

Duration: 6 Days, 5 Nights – Lalkuan to Haridwar
Highest Altitude: 3,734 Meters / 12,250 Ft.
Temperature: Day time: 3 C to 10 C. Night: 3 to -4 C.
Terrain: Rhododendron Forest, Alpine Meadows and Rocky.
Nearest Airport: Pantnagar (70 Km from Kathgodam) – Uttarakhand
Nearest Railways Station: Kathgodam
We heartily welcome you at Dehradun Railway Station / Dehradun Airport. Then we drive (295Km / 12 Hours) to Lohajung. The route: Devprayag – Srinagar – Rudraprayag – Karanprayag – turn right to Tharali – Debal – Mundoli – Lohajung. Check-in hotel & rest for the day.
Trekking Distance: 6 kms || Time Taken: 4-5 hrs
We start our trek after breakfast from Lohajung Village, on an even surface through thick oak forests, with a few waterfalls streams on the way. Dinner and overnight stay in the tents.
Time taken: 3-4 hrs || Trek Distance: 3-4 Kms
Today we will be walking short distance uphill path, this trail blooms with thick forests of rhododendron, oak forest and snow field which is a path with beautiful views. Once you reach the Brahmahtal base, hot lunch will be waiting for you .We chill out for the day and relax overnight in the tents.
Trek Distance: 5-6 Kms || Time taken: 5-6 hrs
A gradual ascent that offers excellent views of the snow-covered mountains and vast valleys with huge spectacular view of Mountains like Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, Ali Bugyal etc . You could see the rim of the snow capped mountains from the Brahmahtal top.
Trek Distance: 9-10 Kms || Time taken: 6-7 hrs
Morning after breakfast we retrace the same trail back to Lohajung. Dinner & Overnight stay in Lohajung.
Drive distance: 295 kms || Drive duration: 10-11 hr
